There is a lot of hype about this mixing software: Virtual DJ. It seems that everyone aspiring to dj starts with this one. Although djs who mix with serato or cds & vinyl always look down to virtual dj users. I personally know how to mix using real vynil, cdj, serato and other mixing software, but I gotta admit that I still use virtual dj and do like it.

For beginners is the perfect software to start learning the basics.. and even to stick with it. With the hercules console you can also use the software to mix on cdjs and turntables with codec cds and vynil.

If you are new to djing and just learning how to dj with the virtual dj software..  great, but I will still recommend to learn how to dj without software later on or even while you get to learn computer software. It will make you more comfortable with any software and equipment in the future.
