Making beats in Ableton


It can be very intimidating to use ableton for the first time. this tutorial shows you it can also be easier than you think to make your own hot & professional beats with this beatmaker.
Build your own drum kits by extracting individual beats from loops.
The control bar shows that the arrangement loop is active. The beat will loops this way. With the space bar you can play and stop the beat.

Ableton live gives you teh flexibility of rearranging this beat anyway you like.
If you prefer to use any of the premade beats you can drag it too.

Above both tracks you will see the beat time ruler, which also seres as a navegational tool that allows you to scroll and move around.
Ableton live we’ll help you select parts of tracks by snapping the selection to the next beatgrind. We now have isolated the bassdrum from the midi track.

We can test our new sample by clicking on the triangular launch button. You can also use your keyboard to play your beats.
