Make Your Own Beats

Here is “the hitmaker” putting together a dirty south beat in just minutes! Doesn’t it look so easy? I believe he is using Reason (but not sure). So here is the video below, in case you are needing some motivation to start making your own beats. Don’t keep thinking about making beats and just do it. All it takes is sitting down in front of you computer software, keyboard and/or beat machine… and keep trying. Eventually you’ll make something hot that you’d like and build from there. Wazzup this is your boy the hit maker. I’m about to make a beat, a dirty south beat. I already got the instruments that I wanted before we started recording. So let me see what we can do. That’s it right there.

Now I’m gonna add maybe a bell or something. A lot of dirty south beats have bells on them. “Yeah, this sounded good.”
Alright, let’s listen to those bells. Now I’m going to add a brass or something, to give it a deep feeling.

Ok, that was the easy part. Here comes the fun part, adding the bass you know, the kicks and what not. Tell me if you can feel this. You feel that?

Just making sure.

I can go ahead and take the basic click out, I don’t need that no more. Now lets go back to the beat.
I’m gonna add a hi hat just to give it a different sound, change it up a little bit. Ohh, I even found some screams and what not. That sounded good.
That’s pretty much it. I’m going to dosome editing to show you the final product.
