We are here with “Punch,”  tells us about yourself. Who have you worked with? what are you doing now? Some of the newest stuff Tony yayo, 50 centm soul seductive. A lot of stuff for puss newton, g unit stuff. Tons of artists over europe.

It just keeps going and going and going. I am taking it to the next level. Now I have th epiece to take it to the next level.

How did you hear about the Neko?

From my engineer Jim, I told him I got to start getting into this sources. I bought a couple and I just couldn’t get them to work good in ProTools. For me it’s very fast, if it’s not working fast I just don’t wanna bother with it. He said, this guys are working one, it’s like the neko something like that. It’s open labs. It’s a computer, all these stuff is in this thing. Let me check it out.

Once I found out what it did I said, this thing works man!
I have so many in there right now. I haven’t even going through the sound. It’s all about sounds for me. There is tons of sounds in here , I’m like a kid in the candy store right now. I can;t really even tell you what I’m using.

I guess more importantly is how are you integrating the neko into that setup.

I use the MPC 3000 because it’s very very fast, second nature for me. What I do is that I have it midied up with the neko. I’m using ripper right now. And I have my first rack, then the next one, etc. The way it worked before it worked as ergonomically being right. But then it came to saving it and then going to the sounds. You felt like looking at the phone all the time with such a little screen.
Compare it to this big screen here. You can do everything pretty much. You can actually see it. You can tweak it. It’s amazing. A touchscreen just makes it faster.

You are playing keys, you are sequencing out of the MPC. I guess then, what do you do after you are done with your beat?

Now I’m going to integrate Pro Tools to it. Having that is an amazing way to work. But how I’ve been doing is taking it out the neko into ProTools.

Mp guys don’t want to get really technical, well… this is what you need. You can even go online in the computer and download the synth you want. This is the way, Mp to Neko and you set it up. You are going to win. The Neko.

I use the Neko with my MPC 3000.
There’s no complicated way that you gotta go to. You got track 1. Look at track 12, that’s the rack. What I do is I already have a drum pad in there.

Same way as you use your rack mount. Same way except we are using soft synth. This is what’s hot right now. IU can use this thing flawlesly. My rack over here is basically getting a little jealous righht now. I need soundall the time and I basically have millions of sounds here.

If you are using an Mpc you need this right here, the Neko or Meko. This thing is optimized with music. It’s made to  make the music thing. The secret about the Neko is this: you don’t have to tell people what you are using inside of it. Like the ipod, everybody’s got an ipod but with different stuff inside. That’s what matter, the inside.
