How to?
Lots of people have been asking for video tutorials and ways on how you can make your own dubstep beats at home.
We came across this very helpful tutorial for beginners interested in making dubstep music. The guy (boy in a band) posted an update mentioning it’s the “older” type of dubstep. Search Make Your Own Beats dot us for newer skrillex-like dubstep tutorials on the section above.

First make sure you got a mastering suite (aligned 16 w mixer)
Make sure your tempo is 140 bpms, which is the tempo of most dubstep.
Right click the interface and create the combinator.
Let’s load a dubstep kit, sample pack.
Kick, kick, snare, snare, clap, hat, open hat and ride.
These two kicks are actually the same sample but the tones are different.
Lets start off by taking steps up to 32 beats.Just direct the edit steps lighter. Let’s get playing that. Get the clicky snare on teh 1 and the 17. The snares on the 9 and the 25. That’s the start of the beat.
Now, We gotta make it bounce so we need more shuffle. That’s got that kind of bounce to it that really makes it cool.
Now it’s time to add some high end.
Make sure the beat track is selected. Right click on re-drum and click copy path into track.
Make sure you click enable pattern section here to turn it off.
If you don’t want a really low end bass all the other dubstep producers will laugh at you. One last thing we can do, right click on teh mixer, click create and mess with the reverb. Just a little bit.
So here is the dubstep beat that we will be building our song with.
