This is Erick. Im  standing wtih mike from akai. We are looking at the new products from akai, this is the xr-20. Can you tell us more about it?

Sure it’s a drum machine with a hip hop, rNb, dance soundset done by electronic music.
There’s 99 user end presets that come with the user patterns. Each pattern gets an a and b variation of the fill.

You get your drums one shots and synth so you can mute and unmute all three so you can mix the patterns as well. You can actually trigger patterns from the pads. You can see the lights on the pads. The L.E.D light on a pad is being lit as each pad gets hit on a sequence.

Ok, that’s great Andrew. What differentiates this from the other beat machines out in the market today.

The difference is in the sound, and the feel of the pads. A & B variation. No repeats familiar to a lot of MPC users, so if you are a hop hop producer you are rea lly really like this machine.
Put some batteries on it. It has a midi input so you can plug your audio right through or do some lyrics or guitar whatever you wanna do with this machine.
Also, another output that sends the dry signal because there’s some effects in the unit as well.
